There are a number of ways you can get involved with Golden Gate Manufactured-Home Owner Association:

• Become a member (Application), volunteer leader or membership ambassador
• Take action on the latest legislative action alert (if you'd like to be included on the email Legislative updates, please contact the Home Office or email here)
• Attend a meeting with a local chapter. To find out your local chapters or your Zone representative, contact us!
• Attend one of our Board of Directors meetings. They are held about every 2-3 months. Check out our events to see any upcoming meetings.

GSMOL needs YOU!!!
    Since 1962, GSMOL has helped members who are owners of manufactured homes all around the state solve problems in their parks and in their cities and towns. Some of the local problems that members have solved with GSMOL’s help are: manager harassment, interference with home sales, tree and driveway maintenance, homeowner association rights, unlawful evictions, Small Claims Court procedures, finding qualified attorneys and legal aid agencies, preserving over 55 age parks, providing financial assistance to pay for residents’ lawsuits, and help speaking with local government officials.

This is why YOU need GSMOL.

    ON TOP OF THAT, GSMOL has been a major voice at that California Legislature in Sacramento, representing manufactured home owners so they don’t have to go there themselves to represent their interests. GSMOL has helped block many laws that would have been detrimental to members if they had been passed.
There are approximately one million manufactured home residents in the State of California, and each of those residents have benefited and are living under the protection of the laws sponsored by GSMOL for nearly a half century, and which are incorporated into the California Civil Code as the Mobilehome Residency Law.
Members of GSMOL are responsible for those laws. Their efforts, as true GSMOL activist, are responsible for the introduction of those laws. Their letters and phone calls to legislators whom they helped vote into office were, and are, an inspiration to those legislators to support the needed legislation to provide a better and more affordable lifestyle in manufactured home communities throughout California.
These laws, so diligently provided through the efforts of every GSMOL member, past and present, were designed to protect every manufactured home owner, not just those who were members of GSMOL. GSMOL members are the most un-selfish human beings you ever want to be associated with. Through their annual dues, they were able to provide the necessary financial support to maintain a team in Sacramento to constantly lobby legislation for our benefit, and also monitor the activities of lobbyists who would hurt our lifestyle through negative legislation.

This is why YOU need GSMOL.

GSMOL has done so much for so many over the years with less then one tenth of all California manufactured home owners as members. We are now protecting laws that at one time we never dreamed we would have the good fortune to live under, and it is a constant battle. Those who would harm us spend every day seeking nefarious ways to destroy those gains we have made, and GSMOL spends every day looking to see who is lurking behind every bush and under every rock, waiting to catch us off-guard.

This is why YOU need GSMOL.   

This game of cat and mouse takes a lot of man/women power, a lot of money and a lot of dedication to overcome the odds.

This is why GSMOL needs YOU.

GSMOL has been there for you whether you were a member or not. GSMOL will still be there for you, but it would be so much easier if you could support us as a member. Twenty-five dollars a year in membership dues would make you a proud member of the greatest, strongest, and most active manufactured home protective organization in the country, and will enable us to continue the fight for a more affordable lifestyle.
