Supervisors Direct Planning Department to Work on Moratorium and Senior MHP Overlay
The Santa Barbara County Board of Supervisors on October 8, 2024, took up the subject of a moratorium on converting any senior MHPs to all-age while they consider enacting a Senior MHP Overlay. This came about thanks to the many GSMOL and NSBMHT* leaders and members who contacted them in the preceding weeks, supporting the residents of Del Cielo Mobile Estates. This park, located in Orcutt, is under threat of being converted to all-age, which would occur in November if the Board had not agreed to do the moratorium.
