“Our guest speaker was Kirsten Snyder who is the marketing director of Wellbrook Arlington Senior Living. She explained all the avenues of senior communities. She covered a wide scope of different ways a senior could live in senior apartments, independent living, assisted living, CCRC’s and nursing homes. She explained the differences of all of these types of homes. She then opened up a discussion period in which we could ask her questions we may have.”

Sonoma Valley Super-Chapter Holds First Board Meeting

Seven Flags of Sonoma MHP hosted their first Super Chapter Board meeting in November at their clubhouse. Other Sonoma Valley news:
- Zone A-1 Vice President Terri Pohrman established Northern California’s first Spanish language chapter of GSMOL in Sonoma Valley.
- Board Member Robert Neumann (Rancho Vista) is a new Area Manager for GSMOL providing support and technical assistance to our members.
- Board VP Gary Hermes (Rancho de Sonoma) is the new Chair of the Legislative Action Committee (LAC) for Sonoma Valley GSMOL. The LAC welcomes members interested in working on local, regional and state issues of interest to manufactured-home owners.
- GSMOL contributed advice for the homeowners of De Anza Moon Valley when they recently succeeded in reversing a pass-through rent increase.

Novato Chapter Reactivated Thanks To Region 2 Associate Manager Dick Heine

“Los Robles Mobilehome Park has reactivated their GSMOL chapter and installed new officers. A group of dedicated residents met several times with GSMOL Associate Manager Dick Heine to plan the reactivation, which culminated with a meeting for residents on Saturday, September 27, 2014. Over 50 residents turned out for the meeting and elected Bruce Nelson as President, Maura McLane as Vice President and Nancy Fabian as Secretary/Treasurer. The new officers were installed by Dick and the chapter is once again up and running.”
