GSMOL Legislative Action Team
GSMOL helps to protect your investment in your home by standing up for your rights in the state Capitol!
GSMOL’s primary function is promoting and protecting the rights of California’s manufactured home residents. Our Legislative Action Team (LAT) works to identify issues for potential legislative action. GSMOL’s Legislative Contacts (LC’s) then share this legislative work, information and progress within their parks and recruit residents to participate in further advocacy and engagement. If you have an interest in participating in GSMOL legislative activities please send an email to legislation@gsmol.org with “Legislation” in the subject line.
Legislative Contacts (LCs)
LCs are GSMOL members who represent their park in the Legislative Action Team (LAT) Network. They are appointed by the park’s GSMOL Chapter, if any; or by a local GSMOL leader, if any; or by the Chair of the LAT. The LCs attend meetings to learn the action plans for supporting or opposing State bills related to mobilehomes. We need an LC in EVERY park!! If you or someone you know would like to be LC for your park, send contact request on our Contact Us page.
“This Week at the Capitol” Email Bulletins
GSMOL members may subscribe to our weekly email bulletin, “This Week at the Capitol”, which contains information regarding the bills that relate to Manufactured Homes and other housing.
