The Vallejo City Council will try again to review several changes to the city’s newly created Mobile Home Parks Rent Control Ordinance.

Due to the absence of two council members during the council meeting earlier this month, city staff pulled the proposed changes from consideration until a full council could look over the amendments.

Changes before the council on Tuesday include creation of a five-person ad-hoc committee to hear complaints related to the ordinance, and limiting rent increases for new tenants at fair market rents.

The committee will include three members of the city’s Housing & Community Development Commission, a mobile home park owner and a mobile home tenant.

The council reinstated the ordinance after city officials discovered the law had been inadvertently repealed in April 2016.
