GSMOL Convention 2016 – Saturday

8:00 AM – Noon           Convention Registration Continues  (Lobby);  Homeowner Groups, Goods & Services Expo continues  (Hallways)

8:30 AM – 11:20 AM     Breakout Sessions – Three rooms with three sessions in each.  (Delta, Port and Atlantis Rooms.) Ten minute break between each session.  Presenters include Bruce Stanton on “MRL 101”, David Loop on “Converting your Park to Resident Ownership”,  Ron Javor on “Small Claims Court”, Will Constantine on “Strategies for Responding to Proposals to Close or Convert Your Park to Other Uses” and “Recent Park Owner Strategies for Circumventing the Protections of Manufactured Home Park Rent Control and Closure Ordinances and How to Respond to Them”, Henry Heater on “Failure to Maintain”, Craig Hull and Anne Anderson on “Leadership Skills and Resources”, and an attorney panel with Bruce Stanton, Ron Javor, Henry Heater and Richard Bessire on “Creating a Win/Win Relationship with Park Management”.

11:30 AM – 12:20 PM    Zone Meetings  (Delta, Port and Atlantis Rooms).  Vice Presidents for Zones A, A-1, and C will be elected by members from their zones.  Zones B, B-1 and D will have regular zone meetings.  Members will write their questions for the GSMOL Board Q & A on index cards. 

12:20 PM – 1:20 PM      Sandwich Bar Luncheon (Captain’s Room, or may be held in the Courtyard if the weather is nice)

Luncheon Speaker:  Attorney Ron Javor on “Using Government Agencies to Further Your Agenda”

1:30 PM – 3:00 PM        HCD and PG&E Presentations, with Q & A following.   Topics include Registration & Titling, Permits, Home Inspections, Trees, Lot Lines, Lot Setbacks, CPUC Utilities Transfer Program.  (Captain’s Room)

3:00 PM – 4:00 PM        Attorneys’ Roundtable  – panelists include Bruce Stanton, David Loop, Will Constantine, Henry Heater, Richard Bessire, Ron Javor, and others. (Captain’s Room)

4:00 PM – 4:30 PM        Members Q & A with the GSMOL Board of Directors (Captain’s Room)

7:00 PM – 9:00 PM        Banquet and Awards Ceremony (Captain’s Room)
